This page explains the cookies and browser storage used by Rascal UGC, and what happens when you accept or reject optional cookies.

Your choice

When you first visit our website, we ask whether you want to allow optional cookies for homepage recordings. Accepting enables those recordings when you visit the homepage. Rejecting keeps them off. Both choices let you continue using the website and dashboard.

You can change your choice below or through Cookie preferences in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops further recording and clears the recording cookie from this browser.

Necessary cookies and storage

The dashboard uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in. These are needed for your account to work and are not controlled by the optional-cookie choice. We also save your recording preference in this browser for up to 180 days so we do not ask on every visit.

Your choice applies to this browser. If you clear its storage, use a different browser, or your choice expires, we will ask again.

Optional homepage recordings

If you accept, PostHog EU uses a first-party cookie and browser storage to connect the clicks, scrolling, and page changes within a homepage recording. This helps us understand which parts of the page people use and where they get stuck.

Recording is limited to the homepage. We never record the dashboard or free tools. Inputs are masked, private elements and embedded frames are hidden, and we do not record network request bodies, headers, or browser console logs.

Recordings are stored in PostHog EU for 30 days. Recording cookies and your choice last for up to 180 days. Rejecting optional cookies stops new recordings; existing recordings remain until they expire or are deleted.

Cookieless usage analytics

Usage analytics runs whether you accept or reject optional cookies. It uses no analytics cookies or browser storage. We measure page visits, referring websites, campaign links, dashboard features, signups, and paid subscriptions.

PostHog temporarily processes the IP address and browser user agent to calculate a daily visitor identifier. We do not create analytics user profiles or send names, email addresses, uploaded content, or provider credentials as analytics properties.
